Bleach

So I've been resisting the allure of Bleach for some time now. Finally, yesterday, after my boyfriend gave me the puppy dog eyes, we proceeded to watch the first subbed episode on Hulu.com. At the end, I was like: "This is okay." Then I went home and proceeded to watch 24 more episodes the next day, effectively burning up some very crucial study time.

I'm resisting watching more episodes at this very moment. How come I never have anything I want to watch when I have free time, but the moment midterms come up or something big is due, I start watching a 200+ episode anime?

(I'm disappointed that Kon so quickly disappeared at the end of the first season. I hope that he comes back later on.)

I...just can't seem to write anything. I've got ideas in my head, but they just sit there, stagnating, because I can't seem to sit down and attempt to put them into words. I'm supposed to be working on a few things, but they are all just sitting around.

Anyway, here's a teaser of a Miroku/Kagura oneshot I'm writing:

School and Fandom drivel

I am still far more active on my [info]insanely_poetic  lj account than I would like to be, however it is primarily being used to respond to friend comments and to participate in challenge communities. I'm going to try to limit actual journal posts to this journal.

School officially started today, but fortunately I don't have to attend classes till tomorrow. Though since I commute, I've got to leave the house at 6:30. That is the price I pay for taking creative writing this semester.

The [info]dmhgficexchange is starting up again but I don't think I'm going to participate. I have two hard sciences classes + labs this year and I don't want to over strain myself, especially since I'll be doing writing for my CW class.

Wrote a couple drabbles, one for an annonymous comm that shall remain unmentioned for now, and for the [info]fma_fic_contest . It's my first time writing fma and I don't know if I am getting the characterizations right, but boy do I love Ed/Winry. This fandom is so full with Roy/Ed and Ling/Ed and Al/Ed (in both ways...I guess order matters in yaoi) that I feel like het pairings are the minority. But it's cool. The fandom is very welcoming and nice.

Oh Inuyasha, I think about you all the time, and still I persist in ignoring you. By the way, I started reading Rin-ne, Rumiko Takahashi's new manga. The main characters are so very close in appearance to Inuyasha and Kagome, but they have pretty large differences in their personalities. This manga also seems to be sweeter and less gory, but I'm really liking it so far. Can't wait for the 18th chapter to come out.

Harry Potter )

In general, I want to start focusing on that pile of requests that I have backlogged for how many years. That means: Inuyasha. So whatever writing I'm going to be doing for the next week or so, it'll be focused on that.

From what little writing I've done in the last couple days, I can say with a full heart that it has been good to be back.

Knitting

So I'll be honest. I haven't been writing lately. I know I should be writing. I want to write.

But my latest, newest, addiction/love child just happens to be...knitting.

And I can't get enough of it.

I went to the library today and picked up five knitting books. One of them happens to be Charmed Knits, the Harry Potter knitting pattern book. I have some big plans for some of the patterns, particularily the Weasley sweater. I would just love a tweed, oversized Weasley sweater. I also have some plans on making my sister a kittyville hat (a beanie with cat ears) for her birthday at the end of the month, which is not from the Harry Potter book, but from another wonderful book called Stich n' Bitch. Between school and all my predicted projects, will I have any free time left?

Hopefully in between knitting my Gryffindor scarf and other various knitting projects I'll actually put a few words down. :)

Hey, this is [info]insanely_poetic  here, moving on to a new LJ. I wanted a change, something fresh, and a better username. :) The moving process will be slow, but I think worth it!

Friend me if you like.
